Receiving: Load and unload trucks for receiving or for shipment. Receive and checkincoming parts to verify quantity, possible damage, and accuracy. Check to see if any additional inspection isrequired. Accurately maintain and disburse material to all areas. Stock shelveswith incoming material. Identify excess and/or early-purchased materials. Occasionally pick up parts from localvendors.
Inventory Control and PartsMaintenance: Maintain location of parts, post transactions to inventory system andcheck inventory amounts with both cycle counts and physical inventory. Maintain all inventory records and carry outmanual or computerized transactions. Pull parts and prepare kits for assemblers to maintain efficientproduction schedules. Handle rejectedparts and the re-issuance of replacement parts and return repaired parts toinventory locations.
Shipping: Pick, package, label and prepare product fordomestic and international customers and company branches using whatevercarrier is appropriate. Prepare requiredlabels and bills of lading. Prepare andsign required paperwork. Coordinate andrecord the shipment of materials and maintain accurate records. Construct pallets and frames. Control inventory of all shipping materialssuch as nails, lumber, stamps, cardboard, etc. Use all tools and equipment necessary to accomplish the job includingall riding fork lift, order-pickers, band saw, ripsaw, power nailer, cross-cut,or any tool appropriate to the task. Operate vehicles to transport materials.
Acuitysufficient to check work for quality and accuracy as well as the ability toread documents related to this job description.
Ability to read and write English, add,subtract, count and record with extreme accuracy, measure, multiply and dividewhole numbers efficiently and follow instructions.
Capable of utilizing various documentationincluding prints, process sheets, procedure manuals, and check sheets.
Computer literate including the ability toread computer menus, record transactions, and perform data entry preferred.
Ability to handle from very small parts tolarge parts up to 40 lbs. (or more, if required, with assistance); Ability toeither sit at a computer or to walk for long periods of time; Ability to bendand climb a ladder
Capacity sufficient for strong attention todetail and ability to follow instruction of a semi-routine nature.
Highschool diploma, GED, or equivalent related work experience.
Preferred6 months of warehouse experience including shipping, receiving and inventorycontrol.
Musthave a valid driver’s license
