Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the execution of supply chain management activities, projects and process improvement initiatives. This responsibility is to be performed in a manner consistent with the overall H-D Materials Management Strategy, and modeled within the guiding principles of the H-D Values.

Manage plant-specific supply-chain management activities and special projects for suppliers, product development and product/process areas as assigned. Primary interface between the supply chain and various process areas within the plant community. Provide feedback and linkage to peers within other H-D locations.

Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, materials management, supply-chain management, or equivalent degree. Appropriate technical certification (CQM, CPM, CPIM) preferred. If the candidate does not meet the degree requirement a combination of relevant education and experience should total the equivalent of 11 years.

Experience Required:
Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated performance in technical competencies of procurement, engineering, finance, operations and/or quality.

Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills who understands how to develop and maintain external supplier and internal customer relationships. Understands production and procurement of raw materials, MRO, capital equipment, components and systems in a manufacturing environment (automotive or motorcycle industry preferred). Understands MRP and technical problem-solving concepts and techniques. Understands basics of project management. Able to perform cost analysis with general understanding of Value Engineering and financial management concepts. Demonstrated computer skills. Able to effectively present information to all levels of employees and management.
