Role Summary/Purpose

The Remote Hosting (Cloud) Support Engineer creates, modifies, develops, and implements on-premise and cloud based servers, and network infrastructure. Must be able to work independently. Responsible for supporting API Healthcare workforce management applications as well as enhancing or resolving performance issues associated with infrastructure.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the application of systems analysis techniques and procedures, software or system functional specifications related to API Healthcare hosted and managed applications and hardware
  • The design, development, documentation, analysis, creation, testing or modification of API Healthcare-hosted and managed applications
  • The design, documentation, testing, creation or modification of API Healthcare-managed and hosted application related to various OS configurations
  • Configure and design Client and infrastructure maintenance plans and outages
  • Assist in project management and implementations of cloud hosting and managed solutions
  • Provide escalated support for API Healthcare Cloud and Managed service clients
  • Monitor application and infrastructure environments to quickly identify and resolve incidents
  • Evaluate and address advanced level escalated issues in a timely manner
  • Must have an understanding of hosting and managed service industry standards and best practices
  • Must keep up on current industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Implement disaster recovery and business continuity planning
  • Helps ensure compliance with engineering guidance and governance procedures
  • Available to be contacted and respond to off-hours emergencies
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications/Requirements

    Basic Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in computer information technology, Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology is preferred
  • Minimum 4 plus years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
    Eligibility Requirements:
  • Preferred work location of Hartford, WI or San Diego, CA but remote work locations are being considered for the right candidate
  • Additional Elgibility Qualifications
