Job Summary:
This position creates an understanding of the products and services of functional areas, while facilitating the flow of information between functions. Leads the organization in embracing change and communicate the value and need for change. Demonstrates commitment to the development and advancement of all key stakeholders. This position will facilitate activities in support of H-D’s QMS (Quality Management System), support Continual Improvement activities that directly impact business performance, transfer knowledge/skills that can empower key stakeholders to take action(s) that contribute to the organization’s success, support and drive the use of quality/business tools, techniques, and methodologies; supports the use of these tools in area of responsibility to
increase quality skill/competency levels and impact business performance, perform various other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities will include:
- Gage Calibration management
- Quality defect analysis and resolution on painted plastic injection molded parts
- Development and reporting of quality metrics
- Review parts returned from customers
- Quality help chain support for shop floor production.
- Conduct quality training
- Quality auditing
- Work with internal/external quality stakeholders
- Develop Product Quality Standards
- Provide quality approval for new production parts
- Control Plans / FMEAs / Standard Work
- Other duties as assigned

This position will work with a team of hourly production employees, engineers, supervisors, and plant management across all areas of production.

Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.

If the candidate does not meet the degree requirement a combination of relevant education and experience should total the equivalent of 8 years.

Experience Required:
Minimum of 3 years quality assurance experience directly related to the type of hiring department/processes. Experience in Project Management, which may include planning, supervising, monitoring, and accomplishing the goals of specific project requirements. Experience in Problem Solving/Decision Making methods. Knowledge of QMS assessment, measurement techniques, and the product development process. Understands PC operations including systems and software. Experience in a team-based environment is a plus. Professional society/organization certification preferred
(ASQ, APICS, etc.).

This position may require to work flexible hours.
