Job Summary:
The Product Manager will lead the product development/product management process throughout the specific category’s life cycle (concept through liquidation). Responsibilities include strategic planning, implementing product plans, managing revenue, category financial growth, pricing, gross profit, inventory, market research, support merchandising and marketing activities. This individual must demonstrate the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple projects within product development timelines. The role must effectively interact, collaborate and coordinate activities of cross functional groups, specifically product development teams. The Product Manager creates and implements project plans and timelines in keeping with the General Merchandise Product Development Process (PDP). Reviews and develops Voice of Customer (VOC) statements through assessing market opportunities, determines the needs of the marketplace, creates and implements project plans that meet or exceed wholesale and retail revenue goals.

Education Required:
Requires a Bachelors degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising or a related field.

Experience Required:
A minimum of five (5) year’s experience in apparel product development with technical, product management and purchasing background. Experience in assessing market opportunities and determining the needs of the marketplace is a must. Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of apparel manufacturing and sourcing processes, product development, product planning and project management skills. Proven experience with creating and implementing project plans is required; experience with creating and implementing project plans that meet or exceed wholesale and retail revenue goals is preferable. Strong analytical skills is a must. Excellent communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, strong follow through, and presentation skills are critical. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to manage a team and mentor direct reports. Knowledge of Gerber, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Supplemental Information:
This position will manage a functional category and will require the ability to develop distinctive solution based products to emphasize function, fit and innovation to enhance the rider's experience.
